Novacel S.A.S

The Rouen site is Novacel’s corporate headquarters. It is located in the French town of Déville-lès-Rouen.

Staffed by a 270-strong workforce, it covers an area of 7 hectares. Every corporate function is represented here: the manufacture and processing of our products, research & development, and the administrative and commercial functions: marketing, sales, methods, supply, finance, human resources and IT.

Having adopted a focus on corporate societal and environmental responsibility, the Déville-lès-Rouen site acts as an industrial partner deeply rooted in its local region. Where the environment is concerned, it has signed, within the framework set by COP21, the “Rouen Agreement for the Climate” with the Rouen Normandy urban and district administration. The practical measures implemented by Novacel include, for example, commitments to cut its VOC emissions by half over a five-year period and to increase its share of green electricity by 40% by 2030.

In 2021, Novacel was the first sponsor to fund the placing of anti-pollution nets on the Le Cailly and Seine rivers. This has enabled the collection of several tons of waste from reaching the sea since their installation.

Concerned to provide training for its teams and to maintain its level of excellence, in 2021 Novacel set up the Novacel Academy to provide qualification-validated courses for operators of industrial equipment. In addition, Novacel invests nearly 5% of its gross payroll in vocational training.

Novacel also has an involvement with local non-profits such as ASAR, an organization that assists the homeless in the city of Rouen.

Seeking to create a link between its teams and the planet, in 2022 Novacel implemented a biodiversity plan directly on its site. Our staff have an opportunity to look after a kitchen garden and make good use of its produce.

And lastly, as an industrial leader, Novacel has set itself the goal of maintaining a high level of performance in managing its site in terms of quality, environment and workplace health & safety. As is demonstrated by its ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
